About us
Noelle McCain
I have had a passion for working with kids since I can remember. As a little girl, I always “mothered” younger kids. When I was in high school my parents became licensed foster parents, and our home became a revolving door for kids over the next few years. From that moment on I knew that I would become a foster parent one day and be a safe place for kids who needed one.
I married and had children of my own young, pushing my dream of becoming a foster parent to the back burner. After my divorce, God reminded me of that calling He had put on my heart 16 years prior. And while I tried to argue with Him, giving him one million reasons why it wasn’t the right time…Being a single mother of three, in a house with no extra bedrooms is at the top of that list. I conceded that His timing was better than my own. So I dove in head first!
Colt & Amanda McNew
Colt & I (Amanda) married in 2004. Early in our marriage, James 1:27-Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress…was a scripture we could, nor wanted to ignore. We helped in various ways, but the vision of something more was given to me. I had what I would call a Holy Spirit induced idea of what I had no better words for other than a group home. But not a group home that had any negative connotation attached to it. My dream group home, would consist of parents who loved and are called to care for kids, nothing like Miss Hannigan who mistreated Annie. Our life continued to roll and while the idea came to surface many times, it didn’t feel like now was the time.
Where Colt & Amanda and Noelle unite…
Early in 2023, Noelle, Office Manager for McNew Electric, told us she was going to pursue a passion she had for many years…becoming a foster parent. At that moment, the Holy Spirit brought back the vision. We shared this with Noelle and she was excited. She began her foster license classes and we all began praying. In March, Colt and I attended a Pregnancy Resource Banquet, where the key-note speaker spoke of his miraculous birth to a mentally handicapped mother, who fought for his life. He grew up in an amazing adoptive home and found his biological uncle in his 20’s. He found out that this uncle was one of many siblings who grew up in orphanages and had become a magician…due to the influence of a man who came weekly to the orphanage to spend time with the kids. Once again, the Holy Spirit, spoke that there is a community of people who will help, want to help, and have time and resources, but navigating how to help can be daunting and overwhelming.
We believe now is the time and God, in the way only the Creator of all things seen and unseen can do, has put Noelle with her heart to foster as many kids as she possibly can and Colt and I with our gifting of taking on tasks for this time and to help fulfill what James says-to look after orphans in their distress.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress...”
We want to create a neighborhood set apart. To be a light in the darkness; by standing in the gap for those who can’t yet stand for themselves, providing safe and stable homes for children in need, and building a village to help carry the burden.
“There is a community of people who will help, want to help, and have time and resources”
